 Cabinet approves 24% EPF sharing to be extended for another three months from June to August, benefiting 72 lakh people





New Delhi.  A cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was held on Wednesday.  Regarding the meeting, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that the time limit of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana has been extended for the beneficiaries.  It has been extended for three months from July 1.  Similarly, the term of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana has also been extended.  Now people will get foodgrains till November under this scheme.


 He said that 90% of the people in the company are worth Rs.  Those with a salary of less than Rs 15,000 have their provident fund paid by the government.  This has benefited 3.67 lakh industries and 72 lakh employees.


 Important decisions of the cabinet


 The duration of the three cylinders available under the Ujwala scheme has been extended from June to September.  This includes Rs.  It will cost Rs 13,500 crore and benefit 400 million people.


 The Cabinet has approved an increase of 24% EPF sharing (12% of employees and 12% of the organization) for another three months from June to August.  In which the total estimated cost is Rs.  4,860 crore.  This will benefit more than 72 lakh employees.
