State Chief Minister Vijay Rupani made important announcements on the functioning of the RTO today (November 14, 2019). According to the announcement, seven services have been added to online services. That means applicants will not have to go to RTO for the new seven service from now on. Applicants are currently receiving home-based payment services for select numbers, special permits, temporary permits, taxes and fees for non-transport vehicles and transport vehicles.
The seven services added: Driving license holders after 2009-2010 will be able to apply online to renew their licenses. In addition, you can get four services online such as duplicate driving license, driving license information, replacement of driving license. In addition, vehicle owners with the RCbook after the year 2009-10 have duplicate RC. You can get three services online such as Book, Vehicle Information and Hypothesis Removal.
That is, the applicant will not have to go to the RTO office for seven driving license and seven services related to the vehicle. But applying for housing online can be found.
As per the government's announcement, currently 2.5 lakh people are availing the services like vehicle registration, fancy numbers, special permit, temporary permit, vehicle NOC, tax and fee payment. Currently 25 lakhs and 17 lakhs of the services announced today, total 42 lakh people will get RTO in a year. Coming to the office will be less.
How to apply? : Applicants will have to get One Time Password from their mobile for vehicle and license related services. Additional details for this can be found on the website cot.gujarat.gov.in and rtogujarat.gov.in.
