Gujarat's 1267 gram panchayats have been merged while elections will be held on 8 thousand 851 seats

 

An important statistic has come up regarding the Gram Panchayat elections in the state.  Most of the Gram Panchayats have become Samaras.  1 thousand 267 gram panchayats have been formed in the state.  December 7 was the last day to draw the form.  In which 1267 gram panchayats were declared samaras.

How many seats were reconciled, how many seats were elected

 Out of the total 10 present 118 seats, 1 thousand 267 have been reconciled.  Elections will be held on the remaining 8 thousand 851 gram panchayats.  There are 130 Gram Panchayats in Rajkot district and 79 Gram Panchayats in Surat district.  While 78 gram panchayats in Surendranagar district, 76 gram panchayats in Bhavnagar district and 74 gram panchayats in Kutch district have been merged.  Polling will be held on December 19 and counting of votes will be held on December 21.
