Agriculture is rich in Gujarat.  Due to the hard work of farmers and government schemes, continuous development is taking place.  The biggest problem for farmers right now is crop prices.  Crop prices and crop yields are becoming the biggest problem for farmers.  The Rupani government issues new schemes for farmers every year.  The government has made new provisions in the budget this year to benefit farmers in the budget.  In which non-fertile government fallow land can be used for cultivation of horticultural and medicinal crops, the state government has announced the Chief Minister's Horticulture Development Mission.

Opportunities will arise for production and processing of two lakh metric tonnes of horticultural crops

 In the first phase of the scheme, 60,000 acres of waste land in Kutch, Surendranagar, Patan, Sabarkantha and Banaskantha districts will be leased to progressive farmers, competent individuals, institutions, companies or partnership firms to make it fertile with modern technology and create a large number of new jobs.  .  This will create opportunities for production and processing of two lakh metric tonnes of horticultural crops.  For this scheme Rs.  100 crore has been provided.  The budget includes Rs.  2 crore has been provided
રૂ In order to make Dang district a completely chemical free farming district, Rs.  10 thousand and in the second year Rs.  3 thousand financial assistance scheme for Rs.  2 crore provision.
 જો Provision of Rs. 20 crore for Organic Agriculture Market Scheme for direct sale of organic and natural farming based fruits and vegetable products by farmers of the state in urban areas of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot.
 હેતુ For the purpose of providing timely weather based guidance to the farmers, Rs.  12 crore provision.
 રૂ In order to encourage the farmers to get information about the pest through timely survey of disease and pests for effective control, Rs. For mobile crop clinics in 10 districts of the state on an experimental basis.  2 crore provision.

For the scheme of giving drums and two plastic baskets free of cost Rs.  87 crore provision

 The Gujarat government has always stood by the farmers whether it is from sowing to harvesting or delivering agricultural produce to the market.  Even in this Corona period, farmers did not allow food and vegetables to be wasted.  The government has made new provisions to make the farmers of the state more capable, resourceful and successful.  For a scheme to provide 4 lakh farmers in the state without a drum and two plastic tubs for seed and grain storage at a cost of Rs.  2 crore has been provided.  Apart from this for food processing Rs.  10 lakh under the Central Government's scheme for assistance of Rs.  2 crore has been provided.


 Apart from this, to encourage seed producing farmers, Gujarat State Seed Corporation has set up a foundation to provide assistance for seed production as well as Rs.  2 crore has been provided in today's budget.  To meet the needs of impressive backward and forward linkages through a plan for development of agri and food processing clusters, Rs.  50 crore has been provided by Nitin Patel in the budget.
