SBI has this good news for millions of customers.  SBI has tweeted that there is no need to be afraid if you do not have nominee details in your account.  This work can now be done online.  In addition, this facility is also available in every SBI branch.  According to the tweet, if SBI has a savings account, fixed or recurring deposit, you can register the nominee sitting at home.  Nomination registration facility is provided in both Net Banking and YONO App.  If you haven't registered yet or want to update it, do it soon.  In case of sudden death of the account holder, the nominee has full right to claim on that account.  That is why it is important to fill in the nominee details in each of your accounts or FDs carefully and update them in time.  If there is a single account, nominee registration and updating can be done online.  If there is a joint account, it is necessary to go to the SBI branch.

How to update nominee through net backing?

 If you use Net Banking, first go to SBI website onlinesbi.com and after opening the page, click on Request & Inquiry option.  After that many options will open up in front of you, from which to choose the option of online nomination.  If you have more than one account in SBI, those details will come out.  After selecting the appropriate option, the details of the nominee will have to be filled.  OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number after completion of the process.  The name of the nominee will be added after OTP verification.

How to update nominee from SBI app?

 First you have to login to YONO LITE SBI app.  Click on the Home button and select the Service Request option.  The option of online nomination is given in the page that will open when you click on the service request.  On clicking there, the account details will be finalized and the complete information of the nominee will be updated.  Here you will also be asked for relationship information with the nominee.  If there is already a nominee and it needs to be updated, first the current nominee has to be canceled through cancellation nomination.  After which complete information of new nominee has to be filled.
