According to the guideline issued by the Home Ministry, the country will have 5 unlocks from 1 to 31 October 2020. The government has ordered reopening of cinema halls, multiplexes, swimming pools for sportspersons and amusement parks as per the new guidelines from October 15. The SOP for this will be announced soon. However, the decision to start schools will be taken by the state government.

 According to the guideline issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Unlock 5 will be applicable in the country from 1 to 31 October 2020. However the relaxation will start from 15th October.

- Cinema, multiplex will be opened with 50% capacity. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will issue guidelines on this issue.

Business-to-business exhibitions will be allowed from 15 October. SOP will also be declared for this.

- The state will decide whether to allow more than 100 people on social, religious and political occasions.

- State governments may decide on the issue of reopening schools coaching classes after October 15. Educational institutions will have to be opened in phases.

- Schools that are allowed to open will have to follow the SOP prepared by the state. This SOP will be created jointly by the Department of School Education and Literacy, the Ministry of Education, the Central Government and the State Government.

- The timing of reopening of higher education institutions and colleges will be decided jointly by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Home Affairs.

- From October 15, PhD and post graduate students in the science and technology branch who require lab work and experiments will be allowed with conditions.
