Diwali vacation has been declared in Gujarat Board owned schools in the state from October 29 to November 18.

Gandhinagar: The Narendra Modi government at the Center has given permission to open schools in the country but the Gujarat government has decided not to open schools now. Amidst the ongoing speculation about when schools will open in Gujarat, the duration of Diwali vacation has been fixed in the schools acquired by the Gujarat Board.

Diwali vacation has been declared in Gujarat Board owned schools in the state from October 29 to November 18. The board has also announced a 21-day vacation this year. The circular said that due to the prevailing situation of COVID-19 in the current year, direct educational work for the students could not be started in the schools and the school activities could not be fixed by the Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. In these circumstances, it is necessary for the vacation staff to clarify the duration of Diwali vacation.



With the approval of the government, in the academic year 2020-21, Diwali vacation in schools is declared for 21 days from 29-10-2020 to 18-11-2020. Which has to be implemented in all the schools recognized by Gujarat Board.
