Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said he would consider whether Navratri would be celebrated in Gujarat. He said in a press conference that the sons and daughters who have been waiting for Navratri for years are eager to go around in poverty. In view of their sentiments, the Gujarat government may consider a proposal to celebrate Navratri.
He further said that the Navratri state government would consider celebrating Navratri keeping in view certain guidelines. He further said that Garba is the identity of Gujarat.
