GUJARAT CORONA UPDATE :- OFFICIAL PRESS-NOTE DATE:- 08/07/2020

Corona is now breaking records in Gujarat on a daily basis, with the highest number of 783 cases reported today

Gujarat is witnessing a record-breaking increase in corona cases every day.  Even today, the highest number of 783 cases has been reported in the state so far.  However, it is worth mentioning that less than 150 cases have been reported in Ahmedabad today.
Against which over 200 cases are being registered in Surat continuously.  In the last 24 hours, 16 patients have died due to corona.  And 569 patients have been discharged.  Thus the total number of corona cases in the state has reached 38419, while the total number of deaths has reached 1995 and the total number of discharges has reached 27313.

If we look at today's cases, Surat Corporation 313, Ahmedabad Corporation 18, Surat 4, Vadodara Corporation 3, Valsad 4, Rajkot Corporation 4, Dahod 12, Bharuch 12, Surendranagar 12, Mehsana 12, Banaskantha 12, Navsari 12, Rajkot 12,  Bhavnagar Corporation 18, Vadodara 15, Gandhinagar 11, Kheda 11, Kutch 10, Gandhinagar Corporation 3, Jamnagar Corporation 3, Sabarkantha 4, Junagadh Corporation 4, Ahmedabad 4, Bhavnagar 4, Amreli 4, Anand 3, Patan 4, Mahisagar 4, Narmada  3, Gir-Somnath 2, Junagadh 2, Morbi 2, Dang 2, Aravalli 2, Panchmahal 1, Botad 1, Chhota Udepur 1, Jamnagar 1, Tapi 1 cases were reported.
At present, the total number of active cases in the state has reached 2111, out of which 9 patients are in critical condition and 204 patients are in stable condition.  And in the last 24 hours, Ahmedabad Corporation 3, Surat Corporation 2, Rajkot Corporation 3, Surat 3, Amreli 1, Jamnagar 1, Morbi 1 patient has died due to corona.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment.  Older people, and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are moreo likely to develop serious illness.


The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is be well informed about the COVID-19 virus, the disease it causes and how it spreads. Protect yourself and others from infection by washing your hands or using an alcohol based rub frequently and not touching your face.
