The Union Home Ministry has given permission to the Union Territories and States to open all registered shops with conditions from Saturday, giving major relief to the Union Territories and States, while a nationwide lockdown is being implemented till May 3 to curb the corona virus epidemic.

The central government said in the order that only shops in the market premises outside the corporation areas are allowed to open and shops and establishments with only 50 per cent employees can be opened.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the state government will take a big decision in this regard in Gujarat today. The state government may make an announcement today regarding the Centre's announcement of permission to open shops with conditions. Nitin Patel made an important point on this issue.

Reacting to the notification issue, Deputy Chief Minister Nitit Patel said it was necessary for the citizens to get relief gradually. The state government will consider the notification. We will discuss the notification with the CM.

The decision may be taken after discussion at the Chief Minister's residence. Discussions will be held with the Chief Secretary, Front Secretary of the Department of Industry-Mines. Locations other than hotspot-cluster quarantine will be discussed. The state government has the power to take decisions as per the Centre's announcement.
